Furniture is held together by joinery and glue. Well-cut joints have proven to be one of the most important elements to sustaining longevity of furniture. Seasonal wood movement over time ultimately causes glues to fail, making the life of furniture dependent upon the strength and integrity of its joints.

You will never find a modern "biscuit joint" or dowel holding a piece of J&J Kettman furniture together. We hand cut our joints, ensuring furniture that will continue to support weight and use over several lifetimes.
